Have you ever traveled down Route 66? You know, “The Mother Road”, as it’s often called? Even if you just traveled some small portion of it somewhere?
Maybe your road trip took you by Meramec Caverns (aka Jesse James’ hideout)? Maybe stayed in one of the Wigwam motels? Perhaps you stopped for a meal at one of the many old-time diners along the route? Maybe you visited the Cadillac Ranch or any of the hundreds of other cool sights along Route 66?
I’d love to hear about your favorite sights and/or memories from your travels along Route 66, especially if you have some photos or maybe even home movie clips from it you might care to share. You see, I’m in the process of recording my next song (“Down Route 66”) and eventually would like to create a music video to go with it. So what I’m thinking is how cool it would be if I could include some of your pics and clips in the video. And if all you have is a clip from an old 8mm film reel that‘s been transferred to video, all the better…grainy clips like that would add to the retro vibe!
